Certified Running Technique Specialist

I want to be a running technique expert, analysing biomechanics and retraining technique in clinical/performance environments.

We recommend the Certified Running Technique Specialist programme (CRTS).

Our flagship and most in-demand course, this certification offers the highest level of training in running analysis and technique re-education. The programme takes 6–8 months to complete, no matter which learning pathway you choose (in-person, hybrid, or online). Many graduates go on to become respected leaders and trusted experts within their field.

You’ll develop highly sought-after skills in analysing running biomechanics and, more importantly, the specialised coaching methods that improve technique, enhance efficiency, and reduce injury risk. Understanding movement is one thing—being able to transform a runner’s technique is another. Throughout this programme, you’ll gain the expertise to do both with confidence and precision. 

 

Certified Running Technique Coach

I want to coach running technique to individuals/groups of athletes in an outdoor setting.

We recommend the Certified Running Technique Coach course (CRTC) 

This is a three-day certification course designed to provide a foundation in coaching running technique. The CRTC serves as the entry-level module within the Certified Running Technique Specialist (CRTS) Programme.

For those interested in the full CRTS Programme but unable to commit to its duration at this time, the three-day CRTC offers a flexible starting point. Should you choose to progress to the CRTS in the future, completion of the CRTC will be fully recognised, with the module credited and its fee applied toward the programme. This is available online and in person.

 

Biomechanics of Running

I want a short CPD course on analysing running biomechanics to identify inefficiencies and injury risks

We recommend the Biomechanics of Running: Analysis and Re-Education course.

This CPD course will cover the fundamentals of 2D running analysis, allowing you to determine why your clients are getting injured. Most of the course will focus on the analysis both on and off the treadmill.  A concise module on the fundamentals of running re-education in a group/outdoor setting will be covered. You will learn skills that you can use immediately in your practice.   

This is a 2-day course for the in-person option and the equivalent content will be covered in the online option at self-paced learning within 3 months.

For those interested in the full CRTS Programme but unable to commit to its duration at this time, the three-day CRTC offers a flexible starting point. Should you choose to progress to the CRTS in the future, completion of the CRTC will be fully recognised, with the module credited and its fee applied toward the programme.

 

Rehabilitation for Runners and Sport

I want a short CPD course that teaches me how to rehabilitate injured runners back to running.

We recommend the Rehabilitation for Runners & Sport course.

This 2-day CPD course will teach you to confidently lead your clients from injury or post-surgery to back-to-play using a unique, progressive and functional approach – including unique movement re-patterning methods.

It will look at the most common injuries in running and will identify the contributing factors to these injuries. The focus will be on learning rehabilitation methods and protocols for these injuries and learning how to re-educate movement patterns without pain – all in a practical setting. This course does not include running re-education.

Rehabilitation Protocols:

  1. Knee: i.e. Runner's knee. PFP, Tendinopathy, Ligament tears
  2. Upper leg: i.e. High Hamstring Tendinopathy
  3. Lower Leg: i.e. Shin splints, Calf pain, Achilles tendinopathy
  4. Ankle/Foot: i.e. Plantar Fasciitis, Ankle Sprain, Balance
  5. Back: i.e. Mechanical back pain, SI Joint Pain
  6. Hip: i.e. Hip flexor tendinopathy, ITB Syndrome

 

Movement Re-Patterning for Rehabilitation

We recommend the 2-day Movement Re-Patterning for Rehabilitation CPD course.

This specialised, functional approach to rehabilitation focuses on retraining movement patterns that may have been disrupted by dysfunction, neurological conditions, injury, surgery, or periods of inactivity. You’ll learn practical, functional techniques that you can apply immediately in your clinical work.

This movement re-patterning method is designed to retrain the neuromuscular and proprioceptive systems—teaching them not only how to move, but how quickly to respond. The result is improved movement efficiency, enhanced performance, and greater injury prevention.


Dynamic Movement Skills Coach

We recommend the Dynamic Movement Skills Coach course. By the end of this 2-day course, you’ll be certified to use the Dynamic Movement Skills™ methodology with athletes and children. 

DMS gives you the tools to:
